· Welcome! I hope you find CAW useful and timely for the most part. Please note there are times I just can't be updating from the cell phone, tablet, laptops or via smoke signals.... just be aware of what's possible with our ever changing weather! I hope CAW helps you, is enjoyable and informative. Not all posts are weather elated... I also post science, nature, space or just plain off-topic items. Please take note:

· CAW (Twitter, Facebook or .com) covers Cape Ann proper, Eastern Essex County and the North Shore of Boston, Massachusetts from Saugus to Salisbury, Rowley to Rockport (See map). Eastern Essex County is designated "Zone 007" by the NWS. CAW is NOT partnered or associated with the National Weather Service (NWS), NOAA, FEMA, TPC or any other government or official weather reporting and/or forecasting service. I am a member of the NOAA Weather Ready Nation and have social media relationships with many of the meteorologists you may watch on Boston TV.

· CAW makes no claim to be an official weather source nor should it be relied on to supply official weather information, we do however pass it on. The CAW posts and opinions are extrapolated from NWS, NOAA and other sources and thus Cape Ann Weather is not responsible for personal injury or property damage incurred by user dependency of these products for accuracy.

· CAW has evolved from 45+ years of weather experience. From recreating Don Kent's maps, to calling Rockport's "Old Salt" Rev. Ralph Barker incessantly, to photographing the Blizzard of '78, the Perfect Storm and dozens of other nor'easters in Rockport.
